Well, I didn't get a job at Applebee's. During my third interview there for the position of server, the manager told me he only hires people who will work year-round. I was very frustrated by him telling me this after I had gone to two interviews prior to the one with him! I did tell the assistant manager during my first interview, however, that I could only work for the summer, and she said it was fine and workable. What really gets me is the fact somebody lied to me, and I have a feeling that it was the manager. Why would the assistant manager approve of my summer only availability if he only hired year-round workers? It doesn't make sense!!! Oh well...at least I've gained more experience with the job interviewing process.

I will continue to look for a part-time job, but if nothing in the form of a part-time job interview surfaces by the end of the week, then I will just focus on my summer classes.

So far, I'm enjoying summer school a lot! I have a really wonderful suitemate in my residence hall called Sanford Hall (I have a private room and he does too...we just share a bathroom). Hopefully we'll become really good friends!

I have several good friends here who I've been hanging out with, but I've yet to see one of them, a girl named Heather, who lives in the residence hall I'm in. I'll probably e-mail her and let her know my room number so we can hang out! I still miss my best friends though...Colin, Rebecca, Philip, Laura, and Hilary. We keep in touch via cell phone, facebook, and e-mail, so it's all good!

I'm getting a headstart on learning Italian with my cds and workbook provided by 'Living Language'. It's a 40-lesson course on the basics of Italian! I'm taking Italian at college to fulfill my foreign language criteria, which requires me to take four classes in one language.
